Pushkar Fair: The Largest Camel Fair

The Pushkar Fair or Pushkar Camel Fair is an annual multi-day livestock fair and cultural fête held in the town of Pushkar, Rajasthan. The original intention behind the Pushkar Camel Fair was to attract local camel and cattle traders to do business during the holy Kartik Purnima festival, held in Pushkar around the full moon in the Hindu lunar month of Kartik. For the Hindus, Brahma Temple is an important pilgrim place.

Spiti Valley

A Travel Documentary on Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayas in the north-eastern part of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The name "Spiti" means "The Middle Land", i.e. the land between Tibet and India.

Alongside environmental and social narratives, Jai has produced travel documentaries that depicts the vibrancy and scale of the Pushkar Fair, one of the largest camel fairs in the world, documenting its rituals, communities, and living traditions. His journeys also extend to the cold desert mountains of India, where he explored the stark yet breathtaking landscapes of Spiti Valley, translating its silence, resilience, and raw beauty into immersive visual stories. Venturing further into rare visual territories, his multimedia work includes documenting the rarest natural phenomena documenting Mars and the Milky Way galaxy. Together, these films form a body of work that blends environmental consciousness, cultural documentation, travel, and cosmic exploration, offering viewers a deeply reflective and visually compelling experience.
